The country’s brightest loveteam, KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez, which top bills the 2009 GMA Films & Regal Films Valentine’s day offering, “When I Met You,” were surely be in sunny faces as their second movie earned P45.78-M in the Philippine Box Office, from Wednesday to Friday ( February 11-13, 2009).

That figure was confirmed by an executive of Regal Entertainment, Inc.

The movie opened on Wednesday at P10,000,000.00. On Thursday, the movie earned with P15, 000,000.00 and on Friday, the Valentines eve, “When I Met You” grossed a nerve-wrecking P21,000,000 in just a single day of showing.

Largest movie exhibitor SM Cinemas added theaters showing “When I Met You.” in their several branches nationwide. At SM North Edsa, the top money-maker in the country, theaters showing “When I Met You” summed to 3 theaters on Friday, and expected to be 4 or 5 this Saturday. They also added theaters showing the said flick at Megamall, Manila, Southmall, Marikina, Clark, Pampanga and Cebu.

“When I Met You” is the second movie that KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez starred in. Their first film from Star Cinema “For The First Time” grossed P134-M in return, a certified box office hit for a Filipino-made film.

Once again, they starred in another movie this Valentine’s Day entitled “When I Met You,” currently breaking box office records nationwide. The movie is expected to double its figure this Saturday and Sunday, as part of the celebration of this Valentine season.

Some of the unforgettable scenes in the movie are the crashing scene, the mud scene, the first night of KC and Richard in the beach and the rescuing scene.

Still showing nationwide and falling people from love, “When I Met You” also stars Cherry Pie Picache, Alfred Vargas, Iya Villania, Chariz Solomon and Tirso Curz III.
