Fall in love with the first must-see romantic comedy of the year.
WHO: Catherine Zeta-Jones stars as a 40-year-old single mother who captivates her children’s baby-sitter who happens to be a 25-year-old man.
Starring opposite Zeta-Jones is Justin Bartha from the films The Hangover and National Treasure.
WHAT’S IT ABOUT: A 25-year-old man (Bartha) works as a nanny to the children of his 40-year-old single-mother neighbor (Zeta-Jones). The two start an unlikely romance they did not expect to happen.
POSITIVE: Catherine Zeta Jones is a gorgeous cougar and her attack to the role doesn’t come as a cradle-robbing predator but someone who has warmth, fell in love and having trouble with the saying “age doesn’t matter.”
The movie, however, belongs to Justin Bartha. He is charming, adorable and very sincere with his portrayal of the 25-year-old nanny who fell in love with the kids and their mom.
The film has its funny moments and concludes in a feel-good, yet unconventional ending.
NEGATIVE: There’s objectionable language used around and by children. It could have been a good family movie but because of some languages used, it’s PG-13.
OUR TAKE: The Rebound is the first must-see movie of the year after the MMFF season. It’s adorable, it’s sweet, and it will put a smile on your face after watching it.
