The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Friday, June 17, the eight official entries to the 37th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).


MMDA chairman and 2011 Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF) executive committee head Francis Tolentino revealed the list on Friday, the eight official entries to this year’s MMFF.

The 2011 MMFF Movies (in alphabetical order) are:

Enteng ng Ina Mo

Hototay

GMA’s Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera, accepted the offer of the new Box-Office King Sen. Bong Revilla (tied with Vic Sotto) to be his leading lady in the upcoming action fantasy movie Panday: Ikalawang Yugto.

This is the first time that Marian will do a movie with fellow Kapuso star Bong Revilla.

The film which is the second installment to the MMFF box-office hit “Ang Panday” is to be co-produced once again by Imus Productions and GMA Films as an official entry to the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival this December.

Tuloy na tuloy na nga ba si Marian Rivera bilang leading lady ni Sen. Bong Revilla, Jr. sa Panday 2 na entry ng GMA Films at Imus Productions para sa Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2011?


Nung nagkaroon kasi ng story conference ay medyo lumabo pa ang mga usapan dahil hindi sila nagkakasundo sa ilang kondisyon na hinihingi ni Marian. Pero bandang huli ay nagkaayos na rin at tinanggap na ito ni Marian dahil maganda ang role na kanyang gagampanan.

Ilan pa sa mga Kapuso stars na kasali sa Panday 2 ay sina Iza Calzado, Rhian Ramos, Aljur Abrenica, at Kris Bernal.

Sealed na ang pagiging leading lady ni Toni Gonzaga sa movie ni Senator Bong Revilla for the Metro Manila filmfest this coming December.

The movie is a sequel to Ang Panday.

But before Toni starts shooting for the movie, may nakatakda siyang gawin for Star Cinema with Eugene Domingo.

Kung pagiging busy ang pag-uusapan, walang dudang si Toni na ang tops sa mga actress. After all, may daily noontime show siya, ang Happy Yipee Yehey. Tuwing Sunday naman, napapanood siya sa The Buzz.

Nabanggit ni Sen. Bong Revilla na ang team nina Direk Mac Alejandre at Rico Gutierrez ang makakasama niya sa Panday 2, ang entry niya sa 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Sabi rin nito, mid-January nila sisimulan ang shooting ng pelikula dahil kakailanganin ng mahabang shooting at gagawin nilang in 3D form ang nasabing pelikula.

Naalala namin, naikuwento ni Direk Rico na ang RAN, kung saan si Richard Gutierrez ang bida, ang gagawin niyang entry sa MMFF this year at ang GMA Films ang producer nito.

Ano ’yon, dalawang pelikula ang gagawin ni Direk Rico?

Sabagay, magkaiba ng tema ang Panday 2 at RAN at magkaiba ang producer unless sumosyo uli ang GMA Films sa Imus Productions.

O baka naman hindi muna ituloy ni Direk Rico ang movie niya with Richard. Makapagtanung-tanong nga!
