Some people doubted their chemistry in the primetime series “Imortal” but John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin proved them wrong because the said fantaserye was very successful.
By popular demand, John Lloyd and Angel are being paired up once again, but this time on the big screen to be helmed by no less than the box-office director herself, Cathy Garcia-Molina!
The famed director told Showbiz News Ngayon that Star Cinema and the staff for the John Lloyd-Angel movie are now in the process of developing a concept for the project.
“Maraming may gusto ng John Lloyd-Angel after ‘Imortal.’ It’s official. We are already in the concept development. Actually scriptwriting na,” she said.
Cruz’ last movie–My Amnesia Girl–was the highest-grossing non-MMFF movie in 2010. Locsin’s last movie–In the Name of Love–was also a box-office hit and was listed in the Top 20 movies list worldwide during its theatrical run.
With the collaboration of 2 box-office stars to be led by the box-office director, the romantic movie which is set to be released later this year has the potential to break box-office records!

In the Name of Love.
"As of today (nitong nakaraang Martes), naka 92M na ang movie," kuwento niya."

“We didn’t realize, I didn’t realize that it’s gonna be this hard,” pag-amin ni Aga.
Ganun siya kahirap for me.”

Angel Locsin is taking a leave from her upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye Imortal where she co-stars with John Lloyd Cruz, to fly to Japan to shoot parts of her movie with Aga Muhlach. When reporters interviewed Angel on the set of Imortal prior to her departure for Japan, she admitted that there have been times when she would get confused about her characters in the teleserye and in the movie. “Mahirap talaga.
Angel’s character in the movie entitled Huling Sayaw, is a Pinay entertainer in Japan. The film will be directed by Olive Lamasan who also helmed last year’s box office hit In My Life which was headlined by Vilma Santos. Angel said she feels blessed about the chance to work with Direk Olive. Napakagaling niya. Lahat ng artistang mahawakan niya sobrang blessed.”
The young actress revealed that Direk Olive can be very strict on the set, but her methods only bring out the best in any actor. “Matatakot ka sa kanya sa una. Mapapagalitan ka, sure ‘yun. Pero marami kang matututunan sa kanya. Mapapa-level up ka dahil sa kanya. Kailangan mo siyang tapatan. Magaling siya sa puyatan, sa lahat.”
Angel is also excited about being Aga’s new leading lady. In the course of shooting Huling Sayaw, Angel learned about moer about the actor. “SiKuya Aga kapag kausap mo napaka-pleasant.

Magsisimula kaming mag-shoot on March 15,” bungad ni Aga.
“Basta, iba, iba talaga. Senswal. It’s a sensual movie. It’s dark.” “Yes, I think so. Olive Lamasan is going to direct the movie.
This time, ang Comedy Concert Queen na si Ai-Ai de las Alas ang magiging kapareha niya for the first time. “Tama, hahaha! Siyempre, excited na ako to work with Ai-Ai.
Serious ‘to. It’s a serious show na once a week lang lalabas for six months. But it’s not a sitcom. Iba siya, It’s like ‘yung American shows, ‘yung once a week na show. Parang ‘yung Grey’s Anatomy once a week, continuous… It’s very light, it’s nice, and it’s heartwarming.
It’s called a series lang. Parang drama, it’s serious, meaning it’s not slapstick. So it’s warm, it’s heartwarming, nakakatawa, nakakatuwa.
So it’s nice also. I’m happy naman that they say yes all the way.”
“E, wala. May ginagawa na ako kasi with Regine (Velasquez). May Angel, tapos may Lea (Salonga) pa.”
“This time, I’m just happy that you know, he said his piece now. He’s enjoying his life with his wife and they will have a kid. So it’s going to be good for him. So, anything that’s good for him, I’m happy,” tapos ni Aga.
